Adoption is one of life's events which brings out more emotions than any other. Why?

In the beginning: the birth mother realises she is pregnant, and cannot keep her child for whatever reason. Despair, joy, desperation, disbelief - all these emotions rage within her and her family.

On the day of the baby's birth, the mother is besieged by all-consuming fear, grief, relief, pain, numbness, and humiliation.

When the adoptive parents are told that there is a baby waiting for them, the utter joy, exhilaration, trepidation, excitement and disbelief surround them.

The baby? Pain, bewilderment, confusion, hunger, warmth, contentment. And in time, as the baby grows, an all-consuming love from those around him or her.

A gigantic roller coaster of emotions. So many people are affected by the single event of bringing a new life into this wonderful world of ours.

The birth mother goes home with an empty heart and empty arms, empty of emotion - for now. Home too, go her baby's adoptive parents taking their precious bundle for whom they waited so long, filled to the brim with emotion.

Life goes on....

One day the child is no longer a child.

The young adult becomes consumed with another emotion - the desire to find out more about his or her origins. Why?

In another town, another world, distant memories, deliberately buried deep within the birth parents' subconscious, start to surface, perhaps drawn by some tenuous telepathic connection. Why?

The search is on, the quest begun. The emotions which now rage are more intense, more focussed and more destructive.

It is our goal to try and calm those emotions, and help you on your quest to end the search.

Seek the peace which lies deep within you.
