This is the beautiful letter sent by a birth mother to the father of her baby daughter shortly after her birth. The birth father kept that letter for over 30 years, and I was privileged to be able to send it, on his behalf, to his daughter when a match was made through this site. Father and daughter have graciously allowed us to publish the three-page letter here.
Since sending the adoptee the letter, the adoptee has met both her parents, and literally dozens of relatives, including sisters, and it has turned out to be one of the most loving of extended families.
