Newsgroups are a wonderful source of information but be warned: submitting an entry to one of them is an open invitation to what seems like every spammer in the world. Be prepared for a mailbox full of junkmail (spam). Another word of caution: it is not a good idea to give your personal details (e-mail or home address or phone numbers) to anyone in a chat room. There's some nasty types out there, who prey on the emotionally vulnerable. International Red Cross Tracing Office Addresses http://www.icrc.org/eng/tracing_offices_ns The IRC requires that anyone using their tracing facilities applies to the Centre closest to where they currenly live.
