God's Boxes
Submitted by Peppa, South Africa
This was sent to me by a young man who is desperately looking for his mother! It
really helps and I send it to you with love to keep or to share with others!!!!
God's Boxes
I have in my hands two boxes,
He said, "Put all your sorrows in the black box,
I heeded His words, and in the two boxes,
But though the gold became heavier each day,
With curiosity, I opened the black,
And I saw, in the base of the box, a hole,
I showed the hole to God, and mused,
He smiled a gentle smile and said,
I asked God, why He gave me the boxes,
"My child, the gold is for you to count your blessings,
Which God gave me to hold.
And all your joys in the gold."
Both my joys and sorrows I stored,
The black was as light as before.
I wanted to find out why,
Which my sorrows had fallen out by.
"I wonder where my sorrows could be!"
"My child, they're all here with me."
Why the gold and the black with the hole?
The black is for you to let go."
